Walmart Product API

Walmart product API: price, stock and UPC for any item

Paste a Walmart product link and get one clean row back: price, stock, seller, UPC, GTIN, specs, images and the store the price came from. Each call costs €0.0015, so 1,000 items cost €1.50.

One Walmart item, one row, ready to match

The Walmart product API takes a product link and returns the item as one row with about 100 columns. You get the price, the stock status, who sells it, the star rating, the UPC and GTIN barcodes, up to 17 spec lines and up to 14 image links. One call costs €0.0015. A thousand calls cost €1.50, with no plan and no monthly fee. Compare it on our page of all data APIs and prices. Set your item list up once, and every scheduled run is saved in your Scrapewise account for the table, an Excel file, your AI assistant or the API.

The barcodes are the reason most sellers use it. A Walmart title rarely matches your own title word for word, but a UPC does. Join on the upc or gtin column and Walmart's price lands next to your cost and your Amazon price in the same sheet. No fuzzy title matching, no guessing which pack size it is. The API doesn't return review text; for that you'd read the reviews on Walmart itself.

Walmart prices and stock change by store. You can add a US ZIP code to the link. Every row records the store it reflects: store ID, city, state and postal code. When a price looks odd, you can see where it came from before you act on it.

Who uses the Walmart product API

  • Walmart Marketplace sellers

Check the price and seller on the items you compete with every morning. The seller type column tells you if Walmart itself sells the item or a third party does, which changes how hard it is to win the sale.

  • Online arbitrage buyers

Pull the same UPC from Walmart and Amazon and sort by the gap. The fulfillment and order limit columns tell you if you can pick it up and how many units one order allows.

  • Cross-listers and dropshippers

Copy the title, highlights, specifications and images into your own listing sheet. The long description comes back as HTML, so bullet lists keep their structure.

  • Brands selling through Walmart

Watch your own item pages for price changes, rating drops and new third-party sellers on your listing.

How it works

  1. Add your items once

Paste Walmart product links into a scraper, one per line. Add a ZIP code if you care about one area. Each item is one call at €0.0015.

  2. Let it repeat

Set it daily, weekly, every few days or monthly. Each run adds dated rows to your Scrapewise database, so price changes show up day by day. Rows are kept for 90 days.

  3. Use the rows

Download Excel, feed the API rows to your repricer, or ask your AI assistant: 'which of my Walmart items went out of stock this week?'

Set it up once. The data keeps coming.

Save your search once and it runs by itself. Every run lands in your own Scrapewise database, and you pick how to read it.

  1. Set it up once

Add your ASINs, keywords, places or apps to a scraper in the web app. New accounts get 5 free requests.

  2. Runs on your schedule

Pick daily, weekly on the days you choose, every few days, or the first or last day of the month. Scheduled runs start at night, European time. Need it more often? Start runs from your own code.

  3. Saved in your database

Each run adds dated rows, so this week sits next to last week. Rows are kept for 90 days.

  4. Use it your way

Open the table in the web app and download the latest run as an Excel file. Ask your own AI assistant about it. Or pull the rows into your code with an API key.

Ask your AI assistant about your own data

Connect Claude Desktop or Claude Code with a read-only key. The assistant reads the rows you've already collected, at no extra cost on Scrapewise. With a full-access key it can start a run for you too.

  • Which of my ASINs lost the Buy Box this week?
  • Which competitor cut prices the most since Monday?
  • Show the keywords where I dropped out of the top 10.

Column guide

Every row has two kinds of columns. The sw columns (sw status, sw source url, sw fetched at) are on every row of every Scrapewise data API. The other columns are Walmart's own fields, such as price, seller and availability.

Standard columns shared with every API

sw status tells you if the call worked, sw source url is the link you sent, and sw fetched at is the collection time in UTC. The store the price is for is in the ctx_store columns.

Identity and barcodes

The Walmart item ID, brand, model number and both barcodes. UPC is the 12-digit code most US sellers use; GTIN is the same code padded to 14 digits.

What sellers do with Walmart product data

01

Match Walmart items to your catalog

Join on UPC or GTIN and put Walmart's price next to your own cost. Barcode matching finds the right pack size, which title matching often gets wrong.

02

Track price drops on your key items

Check your 200 most important items every day and send an alert when the price moves more than 5%. The was-price column shows when Walmart marks something down from a higher list price.

03

Find arbitrage buys against Amazon

Run the same UPCs through this API and the Amazon product API, then sort by the price gap. Filter out rows where the availability column isn't IN_STOCK before you buy anything.

04

See who owns the listing

The seller and seller type columns show whether Walmart.com sells the item or a Marketplace seller does. A listing held by Walmart itself is a hard one to win on price.

05

Fill a product feed

Export highlights, specifications, descriptions and up to 14 image links to fill your own feed or listing template in one pass.

06

Watch ratings on items you stock

Save rating and review count weekly. A rating that slides from 4.6 to 4.1 over a month is worth a look before your next order.

Real setups and what they cost

  • Daily price watch on 200 items

A Walmart Marketplace seller checks the 200 items they compete with every morning and gets an alert on any 5% move. That's about 6,000 calls a month, or €9.

  • Weekly arbitrage scan

An online arbitrage buyer runs 1,500 UPC-matched items every week against their Amazon list. About 6,000 calls a month for €9 on the Walmart side, plus €0.90 for the same checks on Amazon.

Why sellers pick this API

  • Barcodes in every row

UPC and GTIN come back as their own columns, so matching to Amazon or your catalog is a join, not a guessing game.

  • You pay per item

€0.0015 per call from a prepaid wallet. Check 50 items this week and 5,000 next week with no plan to change.

  • The store is on the row

Each row carries the store ID, city, state and ZIP code, so you never mix up a New York price with a Texas one.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Both are separate columns on every row, along with the model number. That makes matching to Amazon or to your own catalog a simple join on the barcode.
